Learning Disorder Assessments (Coming soon)

Teenager speaking with a therapist about anxiety

At Empowered People & Co, we're currently developing a dedicated assessment service for specific learning disorders — including dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia.

This service is being carefully designed to support individuals experiencing ongoing challenges with reading, writing, spelling, or mathematics. Our goal is to provide clarity, reduce frustration, and equip families, educators, and therapists with meaningful, personalised recommendations.

Who It Will Support

This upcoming service will be helpful for:

  • Children, teens, or adults experiencing persistent academic challenges

  • Students whose learning needs aren’t explained by general cognitive ability alone

  • Individuals needing documentation for school accommodations, learning plans, or therapeutic supports

  • Parents and teachers seeking deeper understanding and clearer intervention pathways

What It Will Involve

Our comprehensive learning disorder assessments will include:

  • A detailed clinical interview and review of educational history

  • Cognitive testing (e.g. WISC-V, WAIS-IV, Leiter-3)

  • Academic achievement assessment using tools like the WIAT-III

  • A targeted battery of dyslexia/dysgraphia/dyscalculia tools (currently under review)

  • Screening for attention or behavioural concerns, including ADHD

  • A strengths-based, accessible report with tailored recommendations for school, home, and therapeutic environments

Our Approach

We are committed to offering assessments that are:

  • Grounded in current research and best practice

  • Respectful of diverse learning styles and neurodiversity

  • Designed to guide real-world support in ways that are practical and affirming

This service is being developed with the same care and clinical depth that underpin all our work — and we’re excited to offer it soon.
